Oh Love.

I know I can't be the only person who has been in this situation before. Perhaps I think you have been in this situation before.

Having feelings for someone that doesn't have feelings for you, and the person that does has feelings for you, you don't like them at all and you just stuck in a lumpy rock of no love.

Why can't it be like it is in the movies, you see the cutest guy at the park walking his dog or reading a book and you guys make eye contact then whaaa-laaa you fall in love. Its a cloudy day and all the sudden it becomes a sunny day. Then KT Tunstall- Suddenly I see comes on and we walk hand in hand towards the sunset. I wish oh how I wish this could be true but in the real world its not ( unless your lucky) going to happen. Being crushed is not this best feeling in the world at all. Trust me I know first hand.

Oh love why must you be so complicated.

Homecoming

Cheesy dress up days, the football game and the homecoming dance are the things I have to cherish this year. For so many of us this is the best time during the school year, since you really don't have to pick out outfits except for picking out one that matches the dress up day and you miss your sixth hour or whatever class  for a pep rally. Homecoming is :)

But you can't forget about the dance.......

Its not prom so you don't have to dress up like your ready to say your Oscar award speech and you also don't really have to show up with a date (at least not at my high school) and you can just kick it with everybody. Don't forget that its not too elegant so you can be as funky and fun as you want to be!

So have fun because these are the moments that you will cherish :D

twitter/facebook relationship ruiners

So many people always say facebook or twitter messed up their relationship. Was it facebook and twitter that messed up the relationship or was it you? If you lie to your partner about not going out that day and someone tags, you or mentions you in a picture from going out that same day is it the social networks who ruined the relationship? No it was YOU! If an ex or someone who has a crush on you keeps on messaging you or liking all your photos and flirting with you on a network its kind of of 50/50 situation. You could've deleted this person from your webpage and if you know your partner does not like that person at all you should've deleted them. At the same time we can't help what jane or jimmy says to you on these networks. But it is deefintely not your fault if your relationship was ruined because facebook or twitter well I can't come up with one :D So if you can please tell me how you could be completely innocent by a relationship being ruined from a social network.

I caught it.

You know in wedding movies where the women fight over the bouquet in hopes that it would be them to get married next. Well I caught it, without fighting or pulling hair or shoving. I just stood there and it landed in my hands from when it bounced from some girls hands and I tried to give it away but I was pushed to take pictures then I RAN away after that. I did not want anyone to put a garter on me and I did not want to dance with some random guy. Yes I did do all of that. But he was young and cute thankfully, and I hope he does not see this either. But after I ran away and called my friend in the bathroom my grandmother came in and screamed at me for running away. So as I walked to my doom I saw a a guy holding the garter in his hand just spinning it and then I was instructed to sit in the chair in the middle.  OMG then he bent down and slowly I mean slowly put the garter on my leg. I felt awkward since he kept on playing with it on my leg and my grandparents were watching. Then he slowly I mean super slowly ( if that makes any sense)  took the garter off. He kept on licking his lips very sexy but my whole family was still watching. If my skin was light I would've been cherry pop red. We danced to a song that was like 6 minutes long and we has a subtle conversation throughout the whole thing.  It was something to remember, but something I won't do again because I don't want to catch to bouquet for a second time and go through that experience again

What do you call Fashion?

Some people might say fashion is clothing that is put TOGETHER, others may say fashion is ALL designer names, you might say something that LOOKS good and I might say fashion is what ever makes me feel good while looking FABULOUS and expressing myself at the same time.
Many different people have very different opinions on what looks good and what not. They're many different fashion styles in the world from girly to goth and from edgy to sweet romantic. Everyone does their own thing of what they call fashionable or what they like.
So what does fashion mean to you? Thats my question to who ever is reading this what do you think?

Back to school!

Back to doing schoolwork and early mornings. Back to after school activities and that cutie from your first hour. Back to seeing friends and your enemies everyday. Back to having a life basically. I know many people are excited for school to start or deeply hate the word school and does not want to go back. Well this is my last year of High School, so I'm going to cherish this year and I hope that its going to be fun. So these are my tips of getting ready for a new school year.

  1. Clean and organize your room - When your room/haven is organized you feel clean organized you can think better and feel better. Trust me I've been reorganizing my room and I can feel the results. Plus you can find essential things you need faster without messing up everything even more by looking for one thing.
  2. Buy funky school supplies-  Having some nice school can be an attitude booster. You those days when your just feeling like blah and you just want to go home, sometimes just taking one look at your cute notebook can help things look up a little bit. Plus you'll get a whole bunch of compliments too.
  3. Get together with your friends- Having that last summer hangout with your friends could just make you feel even more excited to see them and its nice to see everyone before you have a burden of homework every night.
  4. Shopping- I know materials are not everything but sometimes when you look good you feel good so invest in some new clothes that compliment your shape and play up your features something that you can be comfortable in and just overall be happy.
Well I know that's not alot of tips but those are things that have helped me in past years and so I just shared what I know :D

Signature Scents

Perfume is not just a scent its your scent. When you walk in a room people will notice that Chanel No.5  or your Jadore by C. Dior that your wearing, its something that reflects you. Did you know that in France that mothers take their daughters to find their signature scent, its a ritual to womanhood for them. I know people in the U.S. don't take it as seriously as the french do but its something that everyone can agree on, finding that one perfume. That one when you put on you feel so nice and clean,  you get major compliments everywhere and it just makes you feel good. So remember that when you go to pick out your scents its just not a smell good its another form of self expression.

OPI nail polish

This is just a random post. I'm a nail polish freak and honestly I can not go without having on nail polish for a day! But my personal and new favorite is OPI nail polish. It goes on nice not too sticky or too thick or thin and it barely chips. It's definitely a bang for your buck so trust me, as an addictive girl who is always buying nail polish OPI is truly the best.

The five types of girls your likely to encounter at a party.

  1.  Miss I look to good for you people- The girl who goes to parties and does nothing. She sits on her phone and talks crap about everyone there. Not to be confused with miss my friends begged me to come and you'll learn about her later. All the guys will love to look at Miss I look to good for you, but she will never talk to you. So unless your bank is as big as your courage to talk to this chick I suggest you keep it pushin!
  2. Miss twerksum- The girl that dances on every guy (and girl) at the party. Most likely shes making herself look easy and gets surprised when the guys come at her the wrong way.
  3. Miss my friends begged me to come- She most likely doesn't want to be there. I mean the name is self explanatory. This girl may dance a little bit, she may sit on the wall a little bit. Shes most likely is the most intelligent of all the types, so shes not into the party crowd alot and probably doesn't get out much.
  4. Miss I have a man- I'll dance with you and flirt with you alot but I have a man. Something that probably happens at 99.9% of parties/clubs.You know the girl who is just there to have fun and her theme song for the night is Jumpin jumpin by destiny's child. Instead of fixing problems or breaking up the relationship, shes going out for a night of fun. (which I kinda think isn't so bad sometimes)
  5. Miss Fun- "Hi Rebbecca, oh Hey Greg!" The one girl everyone knows and is guaranteed to have fun with. She does not have boring moments in her day! People are constantly blowing up her phone to make plans with her or just to have a great convo. Many guys try to get with this girl but shes always bombarded with a flock of people that its impossible. Anyway she is the party when no one is dancing shes the first to get up and start the hustle when she wants to do the robot everyone does the robot.

Media and teenaged girl insecurities..

I know way to many girls who are beautiful that have low self-esteem. The media is constantly giving us teens adverstisements 500-700 times a day! Yes 500-700 ads each day! Commercials and ads on the side of facebook and the sposored trending topics on twitter. You see many ads on youtube and you may hear ads on various radio stations and maybe in your favorie songs you might hear " seven jeans, true religon" that are considered ads for that company. But the ad that usually hurts teenaged girls the most are the beautiful girls in those glossy magazine pages you recieve each month. You start to compare your self to that girl "my eyes are way to small" or " Only if I had her cheek bones". Then it goes to I wish I was pretty like that girl ugh why am I so ugly. Its not good for you or healthy for you. It will do nothing but tare down your value of self worth. That means your self confidence is out the window and if you continue falling down your self respect will go down.
So STOP that STOP it right now! YOU'RE a BEAUTIFUL young lady. Don't compare yourself to to women in these magazines. You can only be you and not some girl with $230 dollars of M.A.C. cosmectics on her face. So love yourself and be you! You are a magnificent, intelligent, classy, awesome and Beautiful young lady! Don't ever think or feel otherwise

Plan and Organize!

There are things that are running through my mind constantly. So Im am encourging everyone to plan and organize everything! Everything that you can plan and organize from  your project due dates to hair appts. It will help you in the long run trust me. It will keep you from running around in circles and plus keep you on top of your school work. Do everything from having a planner or putting alarms in your phone or you could put it in your laptop like I do. For this upcoming school year keeping everything organized will make those long study nights much easier when you can find the notes to the section that you're  So remember plan and organize!

Relaxed vs. Natural

Women can style their hair which ever way they choose. They can braid, weave, curl, flat iron and twist it. It is that womens choice of haircare. Well me being the Youtube addict that I am I came across a few videos (that are now deleted) that really show hate for other womens hairstyle choices. For an example a natural girl rambling about weaves or a girl with permed hair talking about girls who color their hair, which is very stupid to me since everyone can do as they please. Its their choice of style and expression.
Natural vs. Relaxed / Weaves. The natural women DO NOT PLAY  with what they have to say. Not all women who wear natual styles feel the same way as they do and express hate againist other women like they did. Well it was a video that I first thought that talked about how un-healthy relaxers are for hair. But it was more if you have a relaxer you have self-hatred and you want to be white. Which can be true and could be not true. I have never has any type chemical treatment in my hair, though I have some friends who have them and have been since they were little girls. Most women who have these relaxers had them since a very young age because mamma was tired of combing through their thick hair. So many are just used to that hair texture and its something that they probably got routine to doing. So my opinion is that not all women but some women might put relaxers/ chemical treatments in their hair due to self-hatetred and they want to be of differernt race. Or they could be women who like having straight hair and they might be used to have relaxed hair and can't imagine it otherwise.
Relaxed vs. Natural( Afros, braids and twists). Natural women are most likely to be bullied by people. Sad but its true especially for the women out supporting the "fro". Im a girl who will wear my natural hair once in while and I know the abuse. People would say your hair is dirty or if I flip you upside down we could use you as a broom are horrible insults. For your information us natuals wash our hair a whole lot more twice a week at the least so we're not dirty. But the naturals are the ones fully being them selves with the hair god gave them and people always bash or want to look and touch which can be frustrating at times. Well I didn't see any videos with the hate aganist naturals I can most certainly point it out in a social outing or at a school or a place of buisness. I have friends who constantly will bash how nappy a womens hair would be where ever we would be or I could be with family who would think a natural head means "mad at the world".  It's horrible how much people bash natural hair. Personally as a natural and a fan of natural hair I think its beautiful. Eveyone should realize some people want to explore their hair and might just like to have it natural for the sake of wearing it natural. They should have some praise in this too.
Why can't we all just get along. We all are different and thats the same with our hair texture and some way or another . So all me Weave queens and relaxed and natual sisters. We should stop calling each other names and learn that all hair is beautiful. God blessed us with hair that no one of any race has but us and we should embrace the fact that we can wear it different ways. Accept all of those ways ladies :D

The real world.

The upcoming school year is making me realize alot of things. I am going to be an adult soon, I have to actually go live in this big world that can be scary at times. Paying bills, relationships, my career and raising a family are things Im afraid of but excited for. The biggest thing that I hope I never experince is failure. I don't want to grow up and become nothing I want acheive something let my name be known and have a positive influence in someones life. The college searching is nerve racking, especially when you actually apply. It's a crazy long form and it just makes me shiver in my socks that I know they're going to judge me based on my G.P.A. and my test score and maybe my essay. Then if Im not accepted is it because if my grades or my ACT or was it the activites I did and my essay. Thats one thing that scares me a whole lot. Im going to try to not take a rejection letter as them me rejecting me as a person but as a student who wasn't a right fit for their school. The?n when I actually go to college will I make new friends, will I be able to take the course load? Will I be accepted to pledge the sorority that i've been dreaming of since I was little? Am I going to have a bad roomate? What if I end up not liking the school in the first place? Those are questions that have been running through my head all summer.
Well the part that is sad for me is leaving High school. I was never the biggest fan of my school but Im actually going to miss it. I have really good friends and thats something allot of people never get in highschool. But I have them and Im going to miss them I know we all are going our seperate ways after highschool and Im happy that all of us are doing what we want in life but... I don't know what I'll do without em. Then its my four underclassmen buddies and friends that Im going to miss Im really really really going to miss one of them allot but I have a feeling I'll see her again one day so Im good. On the last few days of senior year Im going to have a fudge this school anyway thing and at the same time cry like the big baby that I am. But I'll try to keep in contact everyone :)  Man my eyes water even thinking about this but I know one thing that one of my old friends told me about graduating high school. And I'll try keep this in mind.

Whats unattractive about Black Americans who speak proper english?

The other day when I was walking and talking to a close friend of mine, we walked past a group of males they were a mixture of black and white and after we pasted the group one of the boys yelled " I hate it when black (ahem scuse my french) bitches wanna act like they white nd shit the fuck wrong with yall hoes." ..... I should've turned around and introduced him to my white acting fist  and hit him but  I didn't I ignored the foolishness along with my friend who was just as angry as I was and held it in.

I just want to know why people always take the way I talk as a flaw

About this Mademoiselle

Im a teen living in the ruff streets of the hood in Detroit and this is my struggle.  jk jk Im just a regular girl who loves earrings and nailpolish. An island girl lving in the states, a girl who is meant for the stage in the back, a pianist whos piano is broke and a singer without the chords. OK this is now a serious matter :) But Im new to this blogging thing and I just want to get my message across about senior year stress and how its okay to act like a young lady and you don't have be a girl in the videos that you may see on Mtv or BET just be you not a product of this world we live in. Just life is all im going to blog about really.

But Im a rising senior in Highschool, a HU hopeful and someone like everyone else trying to figure out their life in one way or another

Guys and Dolls and the internet

I know for a while now this game has been going on. Girls loving with their hearts and guys loving the feeling of their pumping hearts. When I turned thirteen I was a boys toy, his doll who he loved to play with. He called me and texted me even sent me a rose on valentines day and a bracelet for my birthday. Around this time social networking sites were just starting to become popular. So me "naturally" wanting to follow the trend and make a myspace and bebo (lame I know) I made one and so did he. He even didn't want to be my other half on bebo and I was not on his top five on myspace. He said that "he didn't want everyone to be in on our relationship". BS!BS!BS! thats a bs alert because he clearly told some chick named Souljagurl313 that he loved her and whats her number on her comments! I was upset so the next day at school I complained to the girl who sat next to me in math class about the boy and she said that she was the same problem and her boyfriend was talking to Souljagirl313 too! So we pretty much put the puzzle pieces togther and figured out we were being played and we didn't go all "John Tucker must die" on the boy but we gave him a piece of our mind and broke it off.
After this event I realized relationships aren't all lollipops and flipflops but more of a lollipop and a licker? if you get what I mean like one person is just being eaten while the other person takes all your flavor.. yea like that... So boys if you're reading this don't play girls like a doll we're not plastic at least not all of us.

College searching..

Looking for colleges isn't really that hard. You have to see if you can afford it, class size, location and if its good. But then you hit one of the websites with the kids complaining they won't get in to Flordia State  with their 3.9 GPA and 35 ACT score...  Then if you're an 3.3 GPA and 24 ACT  type kid like I am your heart drops and you stop looking  for schools a little bit thinking that maybe junior college is for you, maybe your as smart as that kid who sits next to you in Geography class who thinks Mexico and South America are the same country... Or maybe not they're just not very smart. So for this next year Im gonna keep my head up high hoping, praying and wishing that these colleges may choose me  with those 3.9 students.
